Emirati officials have warned the British government that the verdict has damaged Abu Dhabi’s willingness to make major new UK investments, potentially affecting plans for the Oxford-Cambridge technology corridor.
Manchester City was found guilty of 114 of 115 financial-rule charges, including allegations that it artificially inflated its financial results by more than £900 million. The club, owned by UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has said it will appeal.
