🇮🇱❌🇵🇸 — Israel’s little-known “Blue Line Team” is redrawing land boundaries across the occupied West Bank, enabling Palestinian land to be reclassified as state property and subsequently allocated for settlement expansion, according to Al Jazeera.

Established in 1999, the team consists of surveyors, cartographers, and legal experts tasked with identifying land that Israeli authorities classify as state-owned.

Israel describes the revisions as technical corrections to historical surveying errors, while the UN says they have expanded the boundaries of land designated as state property.

A Palestinian land rights organization reports that the team recently redrew boundaries covering approximately 49 acres in the northern and central West Bank, while separate Israeli military orders have affected nearly 3,500 acres around Qabatiya, near Jenin.

Palestinian researchers say the process has accelerated in 2026, with land reclassification, military zones, and settlement infrastructure increasingly restricting Palestinian access to farmland.
