Reports have been received by PGSA indicating that some charterers are forcing vessels to transit through unapproved routes.

In addition to the possibility of financial losses and loss of life for shipowners, owners, captains and crews, this also places serious restrictions on the passage of those vessels through the Strait of Hormuz.

Shipowners must ensure that their charterers do not engage in illegal activities.

Furthermore, if charterers commit violations, these companies will be added to the Non-Cooperation List (NCL), and all vessels associated with them will face restrictions when passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
