🇪🇬🇮🇱🇵🇸⚡️ — NEW: Egypt’s intelligence chief, Abbas Kamel, made an urgent visit to Israel on September 26, 2023, warning that Hamas appeared to be preparing a major attack, less than two weeks before October 7, according to The Atlantic.

Kamel arrived on a chartered aircraft linked to Egyptian intelligence and spent just over an hour in Israel. He urged Israeli officials to offer Hamas economic concessions to prevent an escalation, warning that Gaza could “blow up in your faces” if Israel failed to act.

Although Kamel provided no specific date or operational details, officials familiar with the visit said its urgency should have raised alarms within Israel’s leadership.

Egypt continued issuing warnings until October 5, just two days before the Oct 7 attacks.

Netanyahu has denied receiving warnings from Egypt or the UAE's MbZ, while his former national security adviser, Tzachi Hanegbi, disputed that Kamel’s visit took place at all.
