🇦🇺🇺🇸🇭🇰⚡️ — Australia’s Defense Ministry confirmed that a shipment of F-35 fighter jet components intended for repairs in the U.S. had mistakenly ended up in Hong Kong.
Defense Minister Richard Marles said Australia was cooperating with Washington and Lockheed Martin to establish what happened.
Marles said he understood that the missing shipment contained no sensitive components.
Australian authorities are reviewing their involvement in the shipment, but Marles emphasized that responsibility for managing the F-35 program’s global supply chain ultimately rests with the U.S. and Lockheed Martin.
