Swiftgram Latest beta.swiftgram.app (build 228) adds an automatic fallback mechanism to another backend for Translations and Transcriptions.
Just a reminder that you can change Translation service in settings if some does not work for you now.

This is a very nervous situation for those who have a lot of accounts. Unexpected crashes happened before, and they'll happen again, especially when most of the Telegram code is now AI generated.

Accounts Backup feature in Swiftgram Pro allows you to backup accounts and import them even after deleting the app.
Accounts stored in an encrypted device Keychain, and they never leave your device.

Sticker crashes Telegram apps

Telegram actively deletes and bans bugged sticker. However, it may still be cached in the app.
With official apps, you must wait for an update. But Swiftgram has recovery options that you can use if app crashes on launch.

How to clean caches?
1. Close Swiftgram (swipe it up)
2. Go to iOS settings > Applications > Swiftgram
3. Enable "Reset Metadata"
4. Open the app again
5. Wait for the app to complete cleanup. It may take several minutes.
If it does not work, enable "Reset All" instead of "Reset Metadata".

What will be deleted?
Secret chats, Media cache and some local settings (like proxies and themes)

Will it delete my accounts?
No, it will not delete your accounts. But this is not an officially supported way of cleaning caches, proceed at your own risk.

What to do if app still does not work after Reset Metadata and Reset All?
Wait when Telegram will provide a fix and it will be merged to Swiftgram, or to re-install the app.

I've made little improvement to Telegram's new Watch app

This version includes bugfixes and other minor improvements, as well as:
Improved MTProxy: Telegram fixed bugs in FakeTLS detection that will be helpful if messenger is limited in your country.

Saying Goodbye to Apple Watch Companion: starting April 1st, Apple no longer supports legacy watchOS apps and requires a full re-write to keep them in App Store. Unfortunately, demand for watchOS apps is low - less than 1% of Swiftgram users had it.
This was a fun experiment, but it comes to an end. At least, for now 😉

Latest beta build (269) is based on 12.6.2 source code and uses Telegram’s implementation of the MTProxy fix by default. No need to enable anything in debug menu.

Telegram experiments with Progressive Web Apps
iOS Source code commit 8c54db6 revealed an experimental PWA support for Web Apps (Telegram Mini Apps) in the future. While TMAs are powerful enough, these are core features of PWAs:

• Work offline or when connection is bad
• Launch faster due to cache
• Better support for system APIs like Camera, Microphone, Gallery, etc.
• May potentially work in the background (when the Telegram client is active)
• May become an icon on your home screen

As of today, the commit has been reverted, but these are the possible use-cases that PWAs may bring:
• Offline 2FA authenticator
• Offline notes
• Live events synced in the background (e.g. Sports)
