Switzerland is expected to vote against maintaining its policy of "Swiss neutrality" in a referendum on Sunday, according to preliminary data from Swiss broadcaster SRF.

Earlier media reports said that if neutrality were upheld, Switzerland would have to lift existing sanctions against Russia, as the country would no longer be permitted to impose sanctions on nations involved in conflicts.
