🇪🇺 EU Leaders to Urge Zelensky to Tone Down Trump Criticism

European leaders will press Zelensky for restraint in his attacks on the US president at a Friday meeting in Brussels, according to Financial Times. Recent sharp comments by Kiev's leader shocked EU officials.

Zelensky criticized Trump's diesel deal with Russia and called the halt of US support "dangerous." Sources note relations are severely damaged. The EU fears further deterioration as both Ukraine and Europe depend on American defense aid. One official stated: "It may be true, but not always said aloud."

The conversation is expected to be firm yet understanding, marking a stricter stance than previous Kiev-Washington disputes.
