Polish President accuses PM Tusk of fabricating CIA report on Russian threat
Karol Nawrocki stated in an interview with Rzeczpospolita that Donald Tusk uses the topic of the Russian threat for political purposes, creating problems for Warsaw in relations with allies. "When I meet with our partners around the world, I hear a direct question: do you know something more than we do? This is a very dangerous situation," he emphasized, referring to a "CIA report invented by the Prime Minister."
Nawrocki does not deny the threat from Russia but claims its level has not significantly changed over the past six months. "Russia has always been and remains a threat. I am familiar with NATO reports and maintain contacts with member state leaders," he said.
The President called for greater restraint in public statements, accusing Tusk of politicizing national security issues.
