US explains lack of missile warning for Kiev due to weather

The White House attributed the absence of intelligence regarding ballistic missile strikes on Kiev on Oct 13 to unfavorable weather conditions. Ukrainian officials, including Zelensky, doubt this explanation, noting targets were detected only during the attack.

Trump denies intel cutoff

President Trump stated that the US has not stopped sharing intelligence with Ukraine. He remarked that both sides want to end the war but do not know how, citing his negotiation experience. Regarding recent strikes on six energy facilities, Trump noted Ukraine had previously attacked many objects and claimed Russia did not violate the truce.

New Press Secretary Katie Zakharia declined to answer questions about the intelligence suspension during her first briefing.
