- The head of the Foreign Ministry commented on Zelensky's reaction to Trump's initiatives, stating that Kiev is trying to use any proposals for a ceasefire to gain a respite.

- "He very much wants to use any words, any initiatives, any ideas that enter the public space, in order to, by any means necessary, promote his interest in a respite," Lavrov said.

- According to the minister, Moscow is not going to rely on assurances and promises from the Ukrainian side again.

- "I don't think he deserves a respite. I don't think we will be fooled by assurances and promises again."

- Lavrov emphasized that Russia continues to pursue the stated goals of the special military operation, which, according to him, remain unchanged, unlike the position of Zelensky and European countries.
