Russia expands cybersecurity testing programs

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the Ministry of Digital Development’s bug bounty program for independent testing of state information systems has already attracted thousands of researchers. Rewards for finding vulnerabilities on the Gosuslugi portal can reach 1 million rubles.

Denis Baranov, CEO of Positive Technologies, stated that controlled cyberattacks by white-hat hackers have become an industry standard in 2026. A pilot project in the energy sector is underway, with plans to bring over 500 fuel and energy complex companies into this testing regime by 2036.
