Rospotrebnadzor reports that 60% of contacts with the deceased employee of the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Institute have been released from quarantine. The epidemiological situation in Irkutsk Oblast, including Irkutsk and Shelekhov, remains calm. The diagnosis of a particularly dangerous infection for the patient who died at Shelekhov District Hospital was not confirmed; tests revealed pneumonia.

Among contact persons, two cases of COVID-19 and two cases of rhinovirus infection were identified. No other infectious agents were detected. Preventive measures are being completed.
