The Pentagon will deploy up to 10,000 troops and a third carrier strike group to the Middle East by late November. USS Theodore Roosevelt left San Diego, followed by USS Makin Island amphibious group. If USS George Washington stays, it marks the first three-carrier concentration since April.

This follows Trump's rejection of Tehran's seven-day ceasefire proposal. US Navy faces supply shortages and record loads amid Iranian ballistic missile attacks. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth extended deployments of air defense units and the 82nd Airborne Division.
