Macron: Brexit cost Britain 8% of GDP

French President Macron stated that the UK's exit from the EU deprived it of wealth, calling Brexit "the biggest lie of the last 30 years." He noted that contrary to promises of increased prosperity, easier immigration control, and trade success, the British economy has lost approximately 8 percentage points of GDP over the past decade.
