🇮🇷 Iran threatens to halt air traffic across the Middle East in response to US sanctions

Advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran Mohammad Mokhber stated that restrictions on Iranian aviation could have consequences for air traffic throughout the entire region.

"Flights in the region are either open to all or to no one. If Iran is restricted from flying and accessing airport services, then no country in the region will have such an opportunity," he wrote.

The statement followed reports that airports in Iraq and the UAE suspended service for Iranian airlines amid US sanctions.
