- The Russian Foreign Minister stated that Moscow is not ready to agree to a ceasefire that would allow Kiev to regroup and receive new weapons.

- Commenting on the possibility of presidential elections in Ukraine, Lavrov emphasized that Zelensky has already set unacceptable conditions for their holding.

- "Mr. Zelensky has already made it clear that he is not interested in elections," the minister said.

- Russia has not received any official proposals for a new peace plan. According to Lavrov, Moscow is only familiar with publications in Western media, which propose an immediate halt to fighting along the line of contact, but there is no mechanism for achieving a lasting peace.

- The minister recalled that at the talks in Anchorage in August 2025, Russia supported American proposals based on a long-term settlement. Subsequent Western initiatives, in his assessment, only delay the achievement of agreements.

- "Therefore, everything will be decided based on the actions of our armed forces, despite our readiness for normal, reasonable, and honest negotiations," Lavrov concluded.
