Danish Defense Minister and intelligence chief Thomas Ahrenkil stated the risk of a limited Russian strike on NATO members is "growing," calling it the most serious threat since the Cold War. Potential scenarios include drone/missile strikes on Ukraine-support infrastructure, false-flag provocations using Ukrainian drones, or small troop incursions to protect Russian speakers. The goal is to "divide NATO," not capture territory. Danish agencies also raised cyber-threat levels.

President Macron refuted these claims, stating the CIA did not inform French services of any planned attack. He noted rising tensions and hostile acts across Europe but confirmed no imminent invasion warning exists.
