France: fuel shortages emerge alongside price hikes

At a gas station at the entrance to Lyon, diesel costs 2.46 euros per liter, over 20 cents more than Total stations. Despite high prices, crowds remain because fuel is increasingly running out at Total locations. Many drivers find it unprofitable to search for cheaper alternatives.

Residents complain that authorities are thieves, noting that food and gasoline have become terribly expensive, treating citizens like fools.
