Where the dead are left to rot in darkness, life may return in a most unnatural form. Flesh abandoned to decay becomes fertile ground for something far more sinister.
The Mushroomer is the corpse of a human infected by strange blue fungi. Much of its body remains intact, yet fungal growths have begun to consume it, spreading across its limbs, back, and head. Though long dead, the corpse continues to move, driven by the instincts of the infection.
Mushroomers are most commonly found in caves, damp underground passages, and vast fungal steppes, where their spores can spread undisturbed.
The creature's greatest weapon is not its physical strength, but the psychotropic spores released from the fungi covering its body. Inhalation can cause confusion, hallucinations, and a loss of orientation, making even a simple encounter dangerously unpredictable.
