Yesterday was a big day for AI in Washington.
President Trump and six AI leaders (Sundar Pichai, Dario Amodei, Mark Zuckerberg, Greg Brockman, Elon Musk and Jensen Huang) signed the White House Accord on Super Intelligence. Its a voluntary commitment to four layers of safety controls: internal monitoring of model risks, an internal team to verify those controls work, independent external audits, and board-level oversight. It has no legal force for now.
Still, when the biggest labs agree on one structure, it quickly becomes the benchmark for everyone else.
A few other things:
• An executive order now directs federal agencies to use Super Intelligence (SI) in place of AI, and calls for a new federal definition within 60 days.
• Jensen Huang made the case for monitoring AI agents in real time from a separate chip outside the system being watched. Safety is moving into the hardware itself.
• America.gov launched as a single AI-powered entry point that pulls from 29,000+ federal websites, with plans to handle forms and applications by early 2027.
