The universe is the totality of everything that exists, from space and time to matter, energy, stars, and galaxies. From a scientific perspective, it is a physical reality that does not need humanity to exist and existed long before us, but from a philosophical perspective, it is not simply something we live within, but the setting in which all of our experiences and existence take place, and seeing ourselves on this scale confronts us with the limitations and smallness of our own existence. From a spiritual perspective, this world is seen as something more than a collection of matter and energy, and some beliefs consider it to possess order, consciousness, or a force capable of connecting with human life, which is why meaningful events, synchronicities, and signs become significant. Yet the more we learn about the universe, the more we encounter things we still do not understand, and a vast part of existence remains unknown to us.
