The team was asleep during the attack, giving the exploiter a 3+ hour window to continue draining funds.

⚠️BREAKING: Another Kraken user appears to have lost 61.21 BTC (~$5.4M) to a social engineering scam.

These victims are being contacted by callers impersonating Kraken support, ultimately leading to the theft of their funds.

It appears an unknown threat actor has been targeting large holders on Kraken, with a new victim losing millions roughly every three days.

⚠️BREAKING: A Ledger user lost 213 BTC (~$18.8M) in a social engineering scam.

The victim was contacted by a caller impersonating Ledger support, which ultimately led to their seed phrase being compromised and the funds being stolen.

Multiple people from the "Com" are attempting to take credit for the theft, but it is currently unknown who is actually behind it.

⚠️UPDATE: Wassil sold @dream for $700K after winning a coinflip.

Two known figures, "Wassil ( @wassil )" and "Kareem", agreed to coinflip the handle for $0 vs $700K. Wassil won the flip and was paid in full by Kareem.

The attacker gained admin permissions, minted 1,000 $eBTC ($78M), used it to take an 11 BTC ($867K) loan, withdrew the stolen coins, and laundered them via Tornado Cash.
