The hacker was preparing to steal over $7.8M from a crypto whale’s wallet.

An MEV bot spotted the pending withdrawal and executed its own transaction first, taking the funds before the hacker could.

⚠️UPDATE: Threat actors lost $1M instantly after a $2.1M lick

Shortly after the $2M social engineering theft, the threat actors moved the stolen funds to Tron, where $1M was frozen almost immediately.
