⚠️BREAKING: Per ZachXBT, on January 10, 2026, a victim lost over $282M in LTC and BTC due to a hardware wallet social engineering scam.

Following the theft, the attacker began converting the stolen LTC and BTC into Monero through multiple instant exchanges. This activity is believed to have contributed to the sharp increase in XMR price over the past week.

👮‍♀️JUST IN: Three individuals have been sentenced to 45 years in prison following a cryptocurrency-related home invasion.

The individuals were arrested for a 2024 home invasion in which they posed as DoorDash delivery drivers before forcing entry and demanding access to the victim’s cryptocurrency assets.

👀JUST IN: A secondary attacker stole 80 ETH (~$251K) roughly 20 minutes after the primary exploiter drained 8,535 ETH (~$26M+).

A follow-up attacker moved quickly after the main exploit, targeting the same vulnerability to mint tokens, swap them for ETH, and launder the funds via Tornado Cash.
