❗️JUST IN: FTX Recovery Trust is paying $1.6B to victims from the collapsed exchange.

$6.2B has already been paid out in previous rounds, covering nearly half of the $16.5B set aside for FTX victims. The exchange’s ex-CEO was convicted on seven counts, including fraud and money laundering, and sentenced to 25 years.

⚠️JUST IN: Another victim just lost 18 ETH (~$80K) after signing a malicious batch transaction disguised as Uniswap.

In the last month, roughly $3.5M has been stolen through these phishing transactions. Two whales were previously drained for $1M and $1.54M in August and now more victims are being targeted with fake Uniswap swaps.

The arrested cybercrime member is denying ownership of 2/3 of the accounts, likely as a way to deflect. Meanwhile, the FBI is exporting DMs to trace linked crypto wallet addresses tied to ransom payments and other activity.

❄️JUST IN: ZachXBT confirmed he froze $12M in stolen funds tied to Scattered Spider with law enforcement assistance.

The seized assets included 277 BTC, 6,086 AVAX, and 1,100 XMR. Those same funds are now worth an estimated ~$33M today.

🔓JUST IN: Coinbase CEO confirmed Kevin Durant has regained access to his Coinbase account.

Durant’s legal team said he had an insane stash of Bitcoin locked since 2016 after forgetting his credentials. Today the Coinbase CEO personally helped recover the account restoring access to the stash first purchased when BTC was just ~$900.

They stole over 1K Bitcoin over the last 2 years. They didn’t buy crazy expensive usernames, watches, or cars they simply spent the stolen Bitcoin on food gift cards and gaming accounts and now face up to 95 years in prison.

❗️UPDATE: The drainer behind the $6.3M theft from a crypto whale has started laundering the stolen funds.

753 ETH (~$3.5M) is still pending withdrawal despite being stolen, the withdrawals are still going through. 312.8 ETH (~$1.47M) has already been laundered and sent to a fresh wallet, with most cuts already distributed.

His legal team confirmed they’re in talks with Coinbase to recover access. For context, when Durant first bought in, BTC was around $650 it’s now trading at ~$117K

🚨JUST IN: A well-known cybercrime group was paid ~$500K in BTC to avoid targeting cloud app users.

Negotiations show the group demanded Bitcoin. On Sept 15, 2025, blockchain records confirm their wallet received 4.25 BTC (~$491K) in a single transfer. This was just 1 day before members of the group started getting arrested.

The insider allegedly stored confidential info from 10,000+ users on her phone since Sept 2024, then sold it to criminals who posed as Coinbase staff to drain victims. Coinbase says the insider was paid $13.8M+ while hackers stole over $400M.
