Wild medicine…
Varnished conks (ganoderma sp.), known as Lingzhi in China, Reishi in Japan and Yeongji in Korea, have been used in Asian folk medicine since the 1st Century, known as the “mushroom of immortality” in China for its numerous benefits for immune, circulatory and cognitive health.
Subspecies occur across Eurasia and North America. In Asia, it’s generally sliced and consumed as a herbal tea. ᛉ
