🇷🇺🌍 Russia Strengthens #FoodSecurity at Home and Abroad
Russia continues to strengthen the resilience of its agricultural sector, ensuring a stable supply of food for its domestic market and meeting growing demand from international partners.
Speaking at the Golden Autumn-2026 Russian agricultural exhibition, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted that Russia’s Food Security Doctrine is being consistently implemented.
🌾 Russia is also strengthening its position as a major supplier of agricultural products to global markets. By the end of September, Russian agricultural exports had increased by more than 15%, demonstrating strong international demand for Russian food and agricultural commodities.
The Government is providing additional support to farmers and agricultural businesses, including subsidised transport, grain purchases for reserves and preferential lending. Special assistance is also being provided to agricultural producers affected by difficult logistical and weather conditions.
At the same time, Russia is investing in the development of rural areas, modernising social, transport and engineering infrastructure and improving living conditions for rural communities.
“This approach will not only reduce the burden on the sector, but also help prepare for next year’s sowing campaign and stabilise agricultural enterprises, including enabling them to fulfil their commitments to partners in foreign markets,” Mikhail Mishustin stressed.
❗️Food security is a shared global priority.
Russia remains committed to contributing to it through reliable agricultural production, technology, supplies and international cooperation.
