🍎 Today, the Kids’ Club at the Russian House in Brussels hosted a creative workshop, “The Apple in Russian Traditions.”

Young participants discovered the special place of the apple in Russian culture — in folk tales, songs and traditional customs. They learned why the apple was traditionally associated with health, beauty, love, family well-being and fertility, and recalled the magical rejuvenating and golden apples found in Russian fairy tales.

🎨 After learning more about these traditions and symbols, the children turned to creativity and painted their own wooden toys.

It was a warm family afternoon where Russian culture came to life through stories, traditions and hands-on creativity.
