On September 16, the hotel "Urban by CityBlue" (Dar es Salaam) hosted a special dinner by the "Geography of the Russian Taste" project. The initiative, which is ran by the Russian association "Vasilchuki Restaurant Group", is aimed at strengthening relations between countries through gastronomic diplomacy.

Addressing the event with a welcoming speech, Russian Ambassador to Tanzania H.E. Andrey Avetisyan pointed out that this gastronomic festival held as part of the celebration of the 65th anniversary of Russia-Tanzania diplomatic relations would advance friendship between the countries.

The dinner was attended by Tanzanian Government officials (including the Guest of Honour - the Executive Secretary of the National Arts Council Mr. Edward Buganga), business persons, ambassadors of friendly states to Tanzania.

During the dinner, guests enjoyed an opportunity of tasting dishes of the Russian and Tanzanian cuisines.

Following the visit to Tanzania, the project's team will release a respective documentary.
