✒️ Comment by Ambassador Albert P. Khorev to TASS News Agency Following the Voting held at the Embassy (September 20, 2026):

💬 Voting at the polling station at the Embassy of Russia in Pakistan has successfully concluded.

A total of 130 people cast their ballots, including the leadership and staff of the Embassy and Trade Mission, their family members, as well as Russian citizens residing in or temporarily staying in Pakistan.

Observers from the Civic Chamber of Russia present at the polling station noted that voting was conducted in full compliance with the established procedures, with no violations identified.

❗️It should be noted that the voting took place amid a challenging social situation, with heightened protest activity and partial traffic restrictions in Islamabad.

Nevertheless, the Embassy, in close coordination with the Pakistani authorities, took additional measures to inform Russian citizens and arranged convenient transportation to the polling station. All necessary conditions were created to enable Russian citizens residing in Islamabad and the surrounding areas to cast their ballots.

🤝 I would like to personally thank all Russian citizens who exercised their right to vote in the elections of deputies to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the ninth convocation, demonstrating a strong sense of civic responsibility.

✒️ Комментарий Посла России в Пакистане А.П.Хорева агентству «ТАСС» по итогам проведения выборов в Посольстве (20 сентября 2026 г.):

💬 В Исламабаде успешно завершилось голосование на избирательном участке при Посольстве России в Пакистане.

Общее число проголосовавших составило 130 человек. Это руководство и сотрудники Посольства и Торгового представительства, члены их семей, а также проживающие и временно находящиеся в Пакистане граждане России.

Присутствовавшие на избирательном участке наблюдатели от Общественной палаты России отметили, что голосование прошло при полном соблюдении установленных процедур, никаких нарушений не выявлено.

❗️Отмечу, что голосование проходило на фоне непростой социальной обстановки в Пакистане. В стране наблюдается повышенная протестная активность местного населения, в связи с чем в Исламабаде частично ограничено движение автотранспорта.

Тем не менее Посольство в тесной координации с пакистанскими властями приняло дополнительные меры по оповещению граждан России, а также организовало удобный трансфер на избирательный участок. Были созданы все условия для того, чтобы проживающие в Исламабаде и его окрестностях граждане России смогли проголосовать.

🤝 От себя лично хотел бы поблагодарить граждан России, которые реализовали своё избирательное право и проголосовали на выборах депутатов Государственной Думы Федерального Собрания Российской Федерации девятого созыва, продемонстрировав высокое чувство гражданской ответственности.

🇷🇺 Moscow Hosts IV Congress of the International Russophile Movement

On September 17, the Victory Museum in Moscow hosted the opening of the IV Congress of the International Russophile Movement (IRM), bringing together around 300 participants from more than 50 countries.

🇵🇰 Pakistan was represented by Saqib Khan, Chairman of the Eurasian Peoples’ Friendship Forum and an IRM member, as well as representatives of Pakistani youth.

🕊 The Congress plenary session was opened by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who emphasized that, under President Vladimir Putin, Russia pursues an independent, pragmatic and peaceful foreign policy, developing ties with allies, partners and like-minded countries and organizations around the world.

💬 The Russian Foreign Minister placed particular emphasis on the importance of strengthening ties among the countries of Eurasia:

“We are paying particular attention to the vast Eurasian continent, which, despite the existence of individual subregional entities in the former Soviet Union, ASEAN, the Gulf Cooperation, and a number of others, has no continent-wide organization. Looking ahead, we believe it would quite possible to consider developing the wealth that God and history have bestowed on the world’s largest continent and promoting the idea of a Greater Eurasian Partnership that would be open to all countries of Eurasia and would help prevent external interference in our continent's affairs.”

🖼 The Congress also featured an extensive cultural program, including the international “Russophiles Retro Rally,” which traveled from the Russian Foreign Ministry to VDNH. Foreign delegates also visited a thematic exhibition at the National Centre “Russia”, showcasing the country’s natural, cultural and technological diversity.

💬 Saqib Khan summed up his participation in the IV IRM Congress:

“Participating in the Congress was particularly meaningful to me in the context of developing international contacts, strengthening humanitarian cooperation, and expanding interaction among representatives of Pakistan, Russia and other Eurasian countries.”

🇷🇺 В Москве состоялся IV Конгресс Международного движения русофилов

17 сентября в Музее Победы состоялось торжественное открытие IV Конгресса Международного движения русофилов (МДР), объединившего порядка 300 участников из более чем 50 стран мира.

🇵🇰 Пакистан на мероприятии представляли Председатель Форума дружбы евразийских народов, член МДР М.Сакиб-хан, а также представители пакистанской молодёжи.

🕊 Пленарное заседание Конгресса открыл Министр иностранных дел России С.В.Лавров, который подчеркнул, что Россия под руководством Президента В.В.Путина проводит независимый, прагматичный и миролюбивый внешнеполитический курс, обретая союзников, сторонников, единомышленников, стратегических партнёров в самом различном кругу организаций. 

💬 Особый акцент глава российской дипломатии сделал на востребованности укрепления связей между государствами Евразии:

«Уделяем особое внимание огромному евразийскому континенту, на котором – при наличии отдельных субрегиональных структур на пространстве бывшего Советского Союза, АСЕАН, Совета сотрудничества арабских государств Персидского залива и целого ряда других – нет какой-то общеконтинентальной структуры. Считаем, что на перспективу вполне можно подумать о том, чтобы развивать богатство, данное Богом, историей самому крупному континенту в мире, продвигать идею Большого Евразийского партнёрства, которое было бы открыто для всех стран Евразии и позволяло бы избегать внешнего вмешательства в дела нашего континента».


🖼 В рамках насыщенной культурной программы Конгресса был организован международный проект «Ретро-ралли русофилов», маршрут которого пролегал от здания МИД России до парка ВДНХ. Иностранные делегаты также посетили тематическую выставку в Национальном центре «Россия», посвящённую природному, культурному и технологическому многообразию России.

💬 Подводя итоги участия в IV Конгрессе МДР, М.Сакиб-хан заявил:

«Участие в конгрессе имело для меня особое значение в контексте развития международных контактов, укрепления гуманитарного сотрудничества и расширения взаимодействия между представителями Пакистана, России и других стран евразийского пространства».

🗳 Polling Station No. 8250 at the Russian Embassy in Pakistan has closed.

🇷🇺 A total of 130 people have cast their ballots, including the heads and staff of the Embassy and the Trade Mission, their family members, as well as Russian citizens residing in or temporarily staying in Pakistan.

Two observers appointed by the Civic Chamber of Russia were present at the polling station and reported that voting went smoothly.

💬 The Chair of the Precinct Election Commission, Ambassador Albert P. Khorev, spoke about the arrangements made for voters:

“Given the traffic restrictions currently in place in Islamabad, the Embassy, in close coordination with the Pakistani authorities, took additional steps to notify Russian citizens and provided convenient transportation to the polling station. (...) Every effort was made to ensure that Russian citizens living in Islamabad and the surrounding areas could exercise their right to vote.”

“I would like to commend the efficient work of the election commission at the Russian Embassy in Islamabad. No violations of voting procedures were identified.”

💬 Natalia Zhilina, observer from the Civic Chamber:

“Voting proceeded calmly, with all the necessary procedures duly followed. It is worth noting the responsible attitude demonstrated by both the organizers and the voters.”


🤝 The Embassy of Russia in Pakistan thanks Russian citizens who exercised their right to vote and cast their ballots in the elections for deputies to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the ninth convocation, thereby demonstrating a strong sense of civic responsibility.
