Time for battles! Battles are the traditional entertainment at RuCTF conference, when two people come to the stage, connect their laptops to the projector so that everyone except their opponent is able to see what's happening on the screen, and after that both get the same task and solve it for speed. This year there will be no limit on number of people so that everyone in the hall can take part out-of-competition, and so do you! Tasks will be availabe at battles.ructf.org/ Come and join us :)

Tomorrow at 10 a.m. the All-Russian student competition on information protection will start. Anybody can take part in it, but only full-time students of Russian universities not older than 25 can compete for prizes. To participate in the competition it's necessary to fill in the following form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdPdBFgRQufB7lfl9LsXAnV99T4pT77nMrca2qbVQONdWB2OA/viewform?c=0&w=1 There are no restrictions on filling in the form and taking part in competition for potential participants, but if a student doesn't fill in the form (even with all the previous forms filled), he'll not be able to compete for prizes.

So, the first presentation of our conference: "Where is our silver bullet. Or how to bypass any intrusion detection system" by Ivan Novikov, founder of Wallarm Inc. Note that for the participants this presentation also will be kind of a live translation, because Ivan is in the USA right now and is going to make his presentation via Skype :) Ivan will tell us why there is no universal way of bypassing the intrusion detection systems and what ways already exist.
