Statement issued by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement
On the occasion of the 39th anniversary of the Movement’s founding and the third anniversary of the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood

O masses of our great Palestinian people everywhere,
O sons and daughters of our Arab and Islamic nation, and free people of the world,

The 39th anniversary of the founding of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement comes concurrently with the third anniversary of the glorious Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, at a time when the criminal Zionist entity continues its open war against our Palestinian people. It continues the war of genocide in Gaza and the desecration of the holy sites, foremost among them the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Al-Quds, and the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil. It intensifies its policies of annexing the occupied West Bank and tightening restrictions on our people, and unleashes hordes of its settlers to spread terror and fear, burn crops, and abuse our people there. It sponsors crimes of killing and the sowing of sedition among our people in the territories occupied in 1948, openly pursues plans to Judaize the occupied lands in the Galilee and the Naqab, perpetrates the most horrific violations against our valiant prisoners in the occupation’s prisons, and continues its open war against UNRWA with the aim of erasing the refugee cause.

At the regional level, the criminal entity continues to expand its occupation at the expense of the peoples of our nation in Lebanon and Syria. Through statements by senior officials and candidates in the upcoming elections, it threatens to launch new attacks against a number of Arab and Islamic countries, foremost among them the Islamic Republic of Iran and Türkiye, while its threats also extend to Egypt and Jordan, in a frantic effort to impose its control over the countries of the region, with open and explicit support from the US administration.

Yet, despite this frenzied war, the criminal Zionist entity remains incapable of achieving its alleged “decisive victory” on any of the fronts, thanks to the steadfastness of our great Palestinian people and their unwavering adherence to their land, their holy sites, and their right to their homeland, and thanks to the steadfastness of the peoples of our nation and their awareness of the dangers posed by the Zionist project to Palestine and all the peoples of the region.

Today, after three continuous years of crimes, genocide, and systematic destruction, the confrontation with the entity continues, despite the bloodbath unleashed by the war criminals of the usurping entity. Our Palestinian people and the peoples of our nation continue to hold fast through this ordeal in order to thwart this ferocious onslaught and foil all its attempts to swallow all of Palestine and extend its influence and domination over the peoples of our region. We are fully and completely confident that the steadfastness of our Palestinian people and their firm will in defending their rights against every attempt to expel and forcibly displace them from their land, and against attempts to erase their identity and existence, will be a fundamental factor in turning the balance of the battle and making the criminal entity pay the price for its crimes.

On this occasion, we reaffirm a number of fundamental principles:

First: We, in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, alongside all the Resistance Forces, remain committed to the covenant of Jihad in defense of our people and our holy sites until we attain our rights and liberate our land.
