🇺🇸 US Middle East strategy 🇺🇸
The current pace of global political developments and military conflicts has reached an almost unbearable speed. The US attack on Venezuela is on everyone’s lips. But how can we classify it within the overall US strategy? And what do the attacks by the Syrian transitional government of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) on the areas of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES) have to do with the new US “National Security Strategy”? In the first part of the Article, we will analyse some aspects of the “new” US “National Security Strategy” before turning our attention to the Middle East and the current situation in Syria in the second part.

⚠️ However, whenever progress becomes apparent, Turkey in particular intervenes and attempts to derail the negotiations. It fears for its influence in Syria and therefore activates its proxy units within the Syrian army on the night of January 6th.

🕊️ Despite the historic opportunities offered by Abdullah Öcalan's call on February 27th, 2025, the Turkish government continues to refuse to work toward a democratic solution to the Kurdish question. Instead of following Ankara's instructions, the government in Damascus should make peace with the Kurds and officially recognize them as part of Syria.

🌼The model initiated by the Kurds in northeastern Syria is a living example of democracy, equality, and freedom. It is a model for women's liberation and social change. Kurds, Arabs, Armenians, and Assyrians can live together as equals in this model.

‼️NOW, ATTACKS ON ALEPPO‼️

💢 In Aleppo, Turkish proxy militias are currently attacking Kurdish neighborhoods in Aleppo. Previously, the neighborhoods had been under a strict embargo imposed by the HTS transitional government since December 23rd. No electricity, no gasoline, and only a few food supplies reached the residents.

📝 Negotiations have been ongoing for some time between the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) and the Islamist HTS government. One of the central issues is the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into the Syrian Ministry of Defense.

The Process for Peace and a Democratic Society
- What has happened since Öcalan's call? -

More than half a year has now passed since Abdullah Öcalan made international headlines on February 27 with his Call for Peace and a Democratic Society. Despite some positive developments, there are many obstacles standing in the way of the current successful development of a political solution. Without Abdullah Öcalan's freedom and a serious change of character on the part of the Turkish government, the success of this process is in danger.
