Hey everyone 👋
Small but important Rise of Sectors update.
The project has been quiet publicly for a while, but a lot has been happening behind the scenes - especially around multiplayer.
After several weeks of testing, debugging and rebuilding parts of the network flow, we finally reached a very important stability milestone.
In the newest internal test, Host and Guest connected successfully on the first attempt, multiplayer scene sync worked, the demo instance loaded correctly, both players stayed in the same session, and there was no visible camera jitter.
For players this simply means: “multiplayer is starting to feel stable.”
For development, this is a huge step, because the game needs to handle player spawning, scene transitions, portals, loading screens, networked objects and asteroid spawning in the correct order.
There is still more testing ahead before this becomes a public multiplayer build, but this is one of the strongest progress points so far.
Next we continue with repeated stability tests, late join, reconnect checks, asteroid stress tests and more multiplayer combat work.
Thanks for being patient. Rise of Sectors is still moving forward - one solid system at a time. 🚀
