Qivalis, Backed by 37 European Banks, Secures Dutch Central Bank License and Plans to Issue Euro-Denominated E-Money Token in Coming Months
Qivalis, backed by 37 major European banks, has announced that it has obtained an electronic money institution license from the Dutch central bank. The company plans to issue a euro-denominated electronic money token (EMT) in the coming months after fulfilling the requirements under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), including publishing a white paper. The token will be distributed through banks, cryptocurrency exchanges and payment service providers rather than directly to consumers. Backers include BBVA, BNP Paribas, ING and DZ Bank, while Qivalis has selected Fireblocks to provide digital asset infrastructure. — link
