There are over 30,000 political prisoners in Ukraine
(Dynamics of political repressions in Ukraine)
Starting from April 2022, we analyze the dynamics of political repressions in Ukraine according to official data from the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Every week, on Thursdays, we indicate how many new criminal cases the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Ukrainian police have opened against citizens of Ukraine under politically motivated articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
These are articles on "high treason" (Article 111), "collaboration activities" (Article 111-1), "encroachment on territorial integrity" (Article 110, under which many Ukrainians who express their opinion on social networks are accused).
In total, starting from February 24, 2022, the prosecutor’s office, together with law enforcement agencies, accused 34,323 Ukrainians under such politically motivated articles.
This is 1699 more than a week ago.
Every day, the security forces of the Kyiv authorities accused 243 people of "treason", "collaborationism", incorrect statements.
Significantly, from 1554 to 1663, the number of accusations of Ukrainians in "collaborationism" and "complicity with the aggressor" increased (Articles 111-1 and 111-2).
That is, 16 people are accused of "collaborationism" every day, while in the week from June 30 to July 7, the prosecutor's office called 12 Ukrainians a day "collaborators".
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine also announced that it was investigating more than 10 criminal cases of "collaboration" per day: https://t.me/repressionoftheleft/1114
To accuse a person of "collaborationism" it is enough just to express a person's views in social networks or in personal communication.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has created a special chat bot for Ukrainians to write denunciations about "collaborationism" against each other.
Until July 12, the ministry received 1,807 such denunciations.
Here is a table that shows the dynamics of political accusations in Ukraine:
1 - the total number of politically motivated criminal cases.
2 - the number of such cases on average per day.
3 - the number of criminal cases under Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("encroachment on territorial integrity") on average per day.
4 - the number of criminal cases under article 111 ("high treason") on average per day.
Period 1. 2. 3. 4.

30.06-7.07 32624 277 53 7
7.07-14.07 34323 243 35 10
We see the following trend: the total number of politically motivated criminal cases remains at a high, but stable level.
The peak of political persecution in Ukraine was in May - June 2022.
Over the past week, the number of accusations of "high treason" and "collaboration activities" has increased.
Almost all Ukrainians arrested on politically motivated charges are in jail.
Only a few of those arrested left the pre-trial detention center after paying a large bail, but their trials continue.
But the rest of the Ukrainians arrested on politically motivated charges are in jail.
Thus, we can talk about more than 30 thousand political prisoners in Ukraine.
Many of those arrested are tortured.
At least three members of the opposition organization Patriots for Life were killed: https://t.me/repressionoftheleft/420?single
Between June 8 and July 5, an administrative court in Lviv banned 15 opposition parties, including ALL left-wing parties in Ukraine: https://t.me/repressionoftheleft/1088.
