The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (MVD) reported that every day it opens more than 10 new criminal cases under the article on "collaboration activities" (Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, provides for 10 to 15 years in prison).

In total, more than 900 Ukrainians were accused of "collaboration activities" by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"Among the most common manifestations of such activities are assistance to the Russian army, the dissemination of Russian propaganda, voluntary participation in the occupation "authorities," the Interior Ministry said.

Most of the suspects are located in the territories controlled by the Russian authorities, so the notification of suspicion and conviction takes place in absentia.

In fact, 163 people managed to be held accountable, the speaker of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

In turn, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported that from March 15, 2022 (the moment Article 111-1 came into force) until July 12, 2022, a total of 1,550 criminal cases for "collaboration activities" were opened: https://www.gp.gov.ua/ .

This is more than the prosecutor's office opened cases of "high treason" (Article 111, implies up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment) for the period from February 24 to July 12, 2022 - a total of 1317.

Obviously, this is due to the fact that it is difficult to prove "high treason" in court, especially if there was no "treason".
