Luke 24:46-47 KJB Explained:

When Jesus says, "repentance" in Luke 24:46-47, the word "repentance" is NOT referring to turning from sins, stop spinning, or repenting of/from sins to be saved because repenting of sins is works (Jonah 3:10) and we are not saved by works (Romans 4:5, Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 10:13, John 6:47). Repentance in Luke 24:47 refers to a change of mind from unbelief to belief/believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation.

[46] And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
[47] And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

As for the word phrase "remission of sins", remission of sins in relation to sin means to forgive sins /be both justified from sin and justified in God's sight. Remission of sins does not biblically mean "repent of sins to be saved":
