There are many unbiblical definitions of repentance flying around that are confusing people.
Biblically, repentance/repent is not:
❌Turning from your sins
❌Repenting of your sins
❌Doing things & works to be saved
❌Commiting your life to Christ
❌Connecting, or adding, works into repent/repentance
❌Keeping and following the Ten commandments/fulfilling the Law of God to be saved
❌Stop sinning
❌Living a good life
❌Be sorrowful for sin and be convicted of your sin in order to be saved
❌Checking my actions, words or lifetsyle to determine whether I am saved
❌And more various works related salvationism heresies.
But
All the "repent of sins' " teachings listed above involves you putting yourself under God's Law/the Ten Commandments and thereby wants you to do works of not sinning against and keeping God's Law in order to be saved.
However, the below KJB verses destroy the already listed, false, unbiblical works salvation methods that the repent of sins' teachings and crowd follow for salvation:
Galatians 3:13-14
[13] Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: [14] that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Repent-of-sins-to-be-saved idea is a works based salvation. If you believe in any works or repent of sins heresy to be saved, you are trying to stop sinning and turn from sinn, adding any human effort/work to salvation and are not saved because any repent-of-sinnists trust their works of stopping/turning from sin by replacing Jesus work (His death and shed blood on the cross and His ressurection) with your own vain self righteousness of "I turned from my sin/stopped sinning/repented OF SINS" and turn Christ's sacrifice into nothing worthy.
