Senior Frontend Engineer

Company: Tether Operations Limited

Tether builds reserve-backed digital tokens (notably USDT) and a suite of products spanning finance, energy, data and education, including P2P and privacy-focused solutions like KEET. The company emphasizes transparency and global-scale blockchain-powered payments and tokenization.

Applicants must be located in TI Lugano, Switzerland.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver new features and bug fixes focusing on reliability, performance, and user satisfaction
- Maintain high codebase quality via coding standards, code reviews, and automated testing
- Design and develop responsive, high-performance UIs and manage application state for seamless experiences
- Write modular, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Test and debug complex frontend applications

Requirements:

- Proven experience with React/Preact and modern JavaScript/TypeScript in production-scale apps
- Strong competency in state management (Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar)
- Solid testing and debugging skills for complex frontend systems
- Interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems
- Good English communication skills and ability to work in a globally distributed team

Nice to have:

- Experience with desktop application runtimes (Electron, Tauri, or similar)
- Familiarity with video/audio APIs (WebRTC, media streams) and real-time communication
- Demonstrated UI performance optimization (rendering, memory management)
- Experience building cross-platform desktop applications (macOS, Windows, Linux)
- Past contributions to OSS projects, especially in P2P or decentralized tech
