🌴 Culture Share Saturday: Florida

Did you know Florida is known as the “Sunshine State” and is home to the famous Everglades, one of the world’s most unique wetlands? It’s also one of the few places where alligators and crocodiles coexist. 🐊

Florida is also famous for its incredible variety of theme parks—from movie and fantasy worlds to marine life and water parks. That’s why it’s often called the “Theme Park Capital of the World.” 🎢

And if you visit Florida in the summer, don’t be surprised by a sudden rainstorm! Floridians might simply say, “It’ll pass.” ☀️

💡 Classroom Activity: Ask students to choose one Florida attraction, natural feature, or local expression and create a mini travel poster. Have them include 3 facts and present their “Florida destination” to the class.
