Hong Kong and Macau authorities have arrested eight people over the alleged Fun Coffee crypto investment scheme.
The platform reportedly promised returns of up to 278% annually and attracted investors through recruitment bonuses.
Authorities say losses have exceeded HK$100M ($12M+), with funds allegedly used to pay earlier investors.
The platform went offline in July, leaving investors unable to withdraw their funds.
The investigation remains ongoing.
