New press secretary Katie Zacharia revealed at her first briefing on Tuesday (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2026/10/13/watch_live_wh_briefing_with_new_press_secretary_katie_zacharia.html) that the administration has asked Kimberly Guilfoyle, the U.S. Ambassador to Greece and Donald Trump Jr.'s ex, to resign after a series of critical reports in The Wall Street Journal (https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/guilfoyle-amex-donor-100-000-0e02cdc3?mod=article_inline)

REPORTER: Congrats on the job, first of all. I have two questions. On Kimberly Guilfoyle, the Daily Mail has been reporting on her since last year. The president said he is considering firing her. Do you know a timeline for that? And potentially, you could be on the shortlist to replace her if he does?

KATIE ZACHARIA: We have asked Ambassador Guilfoyle to resign. She has been a wonderful asset to the team, and we wish her well.
