President Trump Announces $21 Billion Semiconductor Investment in New York

President Trump announced a $21 billion investment with GlobalFoundries to build two new semiconductor manufacturing facilities in Malta, New York, with funding provided by Japan. According to the President, the project will create 27,000 construction and supply chain jobs, along with more than 1,000 skilled manufacturing positions.

Trump also announced an additional $955 million Commerce Department investment in advanced semiconductor technologies, with U.S. taxpayers receiving an ownership stake in GlobalFoundries. The President called the agreements a major victory for American manufacturing, job creation, and national security.
