A major development in the federal investigation into Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and questions surrounding how she obtained American citizenship.

According to reports, investigators have seized Omar's phone, computers and passport, while more than a dozen subpoenas have reportedly been issued to individuals within her inner circle.

The investigation is reportedly examining her father's immigration and naturalization history, discrepancies involving Omar's recorded birth year, and whether she legally qualified for citizenship through her father while still a minor.

The Justice Department is reportedly building a case that could ultimately lead to Omar losing her citizenship and face deportation.
