Help with Suspected Port Forwarding Issue?
I'm at the end of my rope (and my Googling). I've had a server for years, and it's been fine. I've moved with it twice and only needed to update the IP addresses and add in the port forwarding. Again, always fine. I moved this third time, and now I can't connect to my domains.
I can use my localIP:8096 and it connects to Jellyfin fine. Likewise, localhost:8096 connects fine. But when I go to my actual domain, it stalls out.
The only thing I can think of is that it must be the port forwarding, because I have a different router this time and the port forwarding process was slightly different. Before, I only had to put in the port that I wanted forwarded and it was fine. Now with this ASUS router, it asks for more details.
I left Source IP blank.
Port Range (External): 80.
Local Port: 80
Local IP: I input my local IP for the server (found on ipconfig.)
Protocol: TCP and UDP both.
(And I did the same for Port 443.) I use Nginx, and before when I've put in the port forwards into my router for 80 and 443, there's been no problem.
I can't imagine it's a change in my Windows Defender Firewall just now showing up. The only thing I can think is that I somehow I did something wrong here, because everything else is the exact same steps that I used for my last two moves.
When I checked the ports with https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports, it says that port 80 and 443 are 'filtered.' I never needed to check this before in my prior two homes, so I don't know if that's what it always says or if it is indeed confirmation of a problem.
Does anyone have any ideas?
