Self-hosting options for renters in Netherlands?

I've recently moved to an apartment with a poor internet connection which cannot be upgraded (long story).

It got me thinking though. I don't expect to be able to afford buying a place during this housing crisis, so I'll be renting for the forseeable future.

How would you go about self-hosting and having a server when you have to move places every 1-2 years and some of the places will have a bad internet.
