Increased interest in Linux?

I only started using Linux becausemy parents, my wife's and my laptop wouldn't update to windows 11. I was still pretty pissed off at being forced to update from windows 7 to windows 8 so this was the final straw, 7 being the best windows os Microsoft made.

Have longer serving members of the community noticed an uptick in people making the switch over for similar reasons? Or is it kind similar level of interest?

It would be interesting if this was the catalyst that finally propelled Linux to the forefront.
