I'm very positively surprised after moving from Windows to Fedora KDE
Been using Fedora KDE for a few days now, after installing it on my new used laptop. I had considered this switch for at least a couple of years, after clinging on to Windows 7 since like 2013. On my other laptops, I have Windows 10, that I have never liked. Just tolerated. The bloat, the ugly layout, the pure dysfunction, the intrusive and coercive design philosophy... My heart was always with Windows 98, Windows XP and Windows 7.

Hung up on some OS from the 2000's man!"Apart from the initial hassle being confused with live install on USB, the learning curve of installing software, loading repositories and Nvidia drivers, and learning the whole terminal thing (that I've seldomly used with my Sailfish OS phone for like 10 years) there really hasn't been much confusion. Like, that's it. I now have pretty much everything I need. Everything seems to work almost out of the box. I was a expecting a huge uphill struggle for quite a while, before I can get the OS to working condition... But no. It was really that simple. No doubt some unforeseen problems will arise later, after all I'm very lazy at updating any software... Like ever. But so far so good.
I now have Reactionary 98 theme installed, and I really feel like home again... Without the dysfunction that comes with clinging on to obsolete Windows 7. I like this theme MORE than I liked the aero theme of Win7.
